An entrepreneurial approach to the rules and a zest for life with all its triumphs and disasters are just some of the hallmarks of Patrick’s style. From a long line of hydrological engineers, Patrick was classically trained in modern agriculture at Cirencester and Aberdeen. Having spent time as an agricultural contractor in Suffolk he quickly became English Nature’s “go to” man for wetland creation and management. The technical skills he acquired and, perhaps more importantly, the knowledge he gained of the rapidly evolving environmental grants and subsidy systems were to serve him well when he turned his attention to his farm in Scotland. The farm has become very much a demonstration site for the cutting edge of new environmental management techniques and the methods tried and tested here form the bedrock of Patrick’s increasingly busy consultancy work. Having the robust “can do” attitude so common amongst people used to making a living from the land, Patrick is rarely daunted by any situation and his personal philosophy can be summed up as “nil desperandum”. The ability to throw a combination of enthusiasm, experience and a tried and trusted specialist team at any problem has made him first port of call for conservationists looking to create and manage sensitive environmental sites. Projects range from agricultural nutrient reduction to pond creation and SSSI assessments. Patrick has brought together an excellent network of skilled professionals from heavy machinery operators, ecologists, boat operators, specialist electricians and land managers. Together they have generated innovative and exciting solutions to a range of environmental challenges. Contact Patrick on Mobile : 07860510739 Phone : 01333 720216
